CAMBODIA

So much spirit, so much love,
My heart flutters like a flying dove.
It's so hot and it's so dry,
The sea is the colour of the bright blue sky.
In every city, across every mile,
The people love to see you smile.
They are generous and they are kind,
Love is never hard to find.
The food is amazing! so tasty and hot!
It's the kind of food I like a lot!
The air is sweet like coconut milk,
And everywhere you go there is plenty of silk.
The people have suffered, their history so dark,
But none the less they still have their spark.
So much construction, so much to build,
I wonder when all these homes will be filled?
The wildlife is beautiful, so much to see!
Elephants, monkeys, and one big ass tree!
Mountains, roads, motorbikes and trucks,
You can go anywhere you want for under 20 bucks!
I miss my family and I miss my friends,
I can imagine how this is going to end.
The emotions I feel, the people I have met,
I will cry until my cheeks are wet.
But as I think about my time here, I thank my lucky star,
For an experience such as this, it has brought me so far.
Thank you Cambodia, thank you with all my heart,
And please don't worry, we will never truly be apart
